Ephesians 4:11-12 (NKJV) 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,

Dear friends and partners in the Kingdom of God ministries,

Let me tell you a story. A master was travelling with his camel in the desert and he stopped to camp for the night in the desert. It gets very cold in the desert. After fixing his tent he entered into his tent to sleep. The master’s camel was tied outside the tent. During the night when it was very cold the camel asked the master; “Master, Master, it is very cold outside, May I put my head inside please?” The master had pity on the camel and allowed the camel to put its head inside the tent. After a short while the camel asked the master, “Master, Master, it is very cold outside may I put my two legs inside the tent please?” The master allowed the camel to put its two front legs inside the tent. That night after awhile the camel was sleeping inside the tent and the master was thrown out of his tent.

Today many churches have thrown Jesus outside and like the camel in the tent; the ways of the world has come into the church. Churches instead of keeping up with God have kept up with the world’s technology and the world’s ways.

One of the churches that Jesus was speaking to was the church of the Laodiceans. This church was called a lukewarm church but the church felt that they were doing very well spiritually. Observe the Master Jesus was outside the church and knocking on the door of the church to enter it. They have shut the master out. Who then is worshiped inside?

Revelation 3:14-22 (NKJV) 14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. 22 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’ ”

Dear friends, follow the example of the early church in Acts chapter 6. Acts 6:4 (NKJV) 4 but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

When the church was growing and the problems were increasing, early church leaders did not take a short cut but appointed godly deacons and delegated responsibility to them and they gave themselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.

Acts 6:1-7 (NKJV) Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. 2 Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. 3 Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; 4 but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word..” 5 And the saying pleased the whole multitude. And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit, and Philip, Prochorus, Nicanor, Timon, Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte from Antioch, 6 whom they set before the apostles; and when they had prayed, they laid hands on them. 7 Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

Observe my friends in verse 7 of Acts 6. Then the word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith.

God is the Lord of the Harvest. He will not approve the lukewarm lifestyle of the church and give a harvest of souls. If He did then the souls who are harvested in will become lukewarm also.

Therefore let us follow the example of the early church leaders and devote ourselves to prayer and the ministry of the word. Let us also learn to trust and delegate.

May this New Year be a year of growth and increase that comes from above.

Please pray for the coming ministries.

Words from Cindy Jacobs for 2009

Words from Cindy Jacobs' website for year 2009:

Dear Friend,

As I have been seeking the Lord for a word for you for 2009 one seems to leap out to me in my spirit. It is the word transition. This is a season where we are going from the old to the new—from old wine to new wine. What do I mean by new wine? From what doesn't work to what does work or from the non-productive to the productive.

It seems as I am sharing with Christians around the world there is a frustration with the old. People know that what they are doing isn't producing the results they want to see but they don't know what to do.

This is what I am sensing: God is forming a new wineskin for your life that is a good fit. In order to do so, you are being pressed into the new. No one likes that feeling. It is uncomfortable and, at times, stressful. Stress can actually be productive.. It is when we get into (dis)stress that it becomes non-productive.

One of the most difficult things to do in the midst of pressure is to still your spirit so God can speak to you. At times, when we are in that condition, God will use the prophetic voice to come alongside you in your distress to comfort you and help you.

This is what I am hearing God say for you, "You are coming into the most creative time of your life. The Holy Spirit, the Creator of the world, is going to fill you with His Spirit in a way beyond your understanding to help you go to a new level of anointing. He is going to fill you with His new wine to overflowing. Do not let fear paralyze you and stop up the flow He is wanting to release within you."

Here is a strategy to get to the new places God wants you to go:

1. Pray with others
Take time to surround yourself with friends who will corporately press into the new places that God has for you through prayer. The Bible says that the new wine is found in the cluster (Isaiah 65:8). Revelation is found as you pray with others.

2. Search the Word
God wants you to have fresh bread for a new season. God is going to feed you with wisdom and revelation to give you strength to go through your transition.

3. Don't panic!
Satan is hitting your panic button and having a good time doing so! Stand up to him and resist his game. Hit the faith walk instead of panic.

4. Trust God
Speak God's promises out loud to still your soul from panic. Tell your mind that it will not control your spirit with thoughts of fear and desperation (Proverbs 3:5-6).

The truth is this: The only thing that can negate the will of God for your life is listening to Satan and following his "panic advice" rather than God's word..
